Frequently
Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our counseling services.
Who would benefit from your counseling services?

We work with students and families navigating the college discovery process or planning their first career steps. This includes:

  1. High school students – Seeking guidance to discover their strengths, explore potential fields of study, and identify best-fit colleges.
  2. Young adults – Looking for support in choosing a clear career path or transitioning into their first internship or job.
  3. Parents – Needing resources and expert advice to ease the stress of helping their children prepare for college and beyond.
  4. Undecided students – Those unsure of their talents or ideal career paths who would benefit from aptitude assessments and personalized plans.
I already have a college or career counselor at my school. Can I work with both of you?

Absolutely! We complement, rather than replace, the resources you already have. School counselors provide valuable support, but our services go beyond traditional counseling by focusing on aptitude assessments and personalized guidance.

What outcomes should I expect from your counseling services?

Our services provide clarity and confidence in educational and career planning. You can expect the following outcomes:

  1. A clear path forward – Students gain clarity on their strengths, interests, and potential fields of study through science-backed aptitude assessments.
  2. Personalized plans – Tailored strategies and actionable steps to help students navigate college admissions or career transitions with confidence.
  3. Increased confidence – A deeper understanding of what makes each student unique and how they can leverage their talents to thrive.
  4. Successful college and career matches – Guidance to identify and pursue opportunities where students are most likely to flourish academically and professionally.
  5. Support for families – Resources and advice to help parents guide their children through these pivotal life stages.

Our goal is to empower students and families with the tools and direction needed for long-term success.

How much does it cost?

We offer two plan options:

  1. Pay as you go – A flexible hourly model. Use only the time you need and add more if our guidance proves valuable.
  2. Project rate – A flat fee for a tailored program based on your or your child’s goals.

We can also tailor the structure itself. Some families prefer a set number of sessions (e.g., a 3-session diagnostic, a 6-session exploration track, or a full career planning package). Others start with a trial session to confirm fit before committing. We can adjust pacing, depth of involvement, and focus areas—aptitudes only, college list building, career coaching, or any combination. The plan is built around where you are and what level of support you want.

Are the sessions remote or in-person?

Both options are available. Most families choose remote sessions for convenience and scheduling flexibility, but we’re happy to meet in person when preferred. For in-person meetings, we serve students and families in Fairfield County, CT.
